About the Role
Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s busiest and most successful NHS foundation trusts, providing a full range of hospital and community services for people in south London and specialist care for patients from further afield. The Trust includes the largest dental school in Europe, a £160 million Cancer Centre, Evelina London Children’s Hospital, and a large critical care unit. It is part of King’s Health Partners and is renowned for clinical excellence, teaching, and research.
We are recruiting two Administrators to join the Universal Services Team within Evelina Community Services. The successful candidates will support the Universal Services teams to ensure seamless service delivery for children in Lambeth and Southwark. This is an excellent opportunity to develop administration and management skills in a busy healthcare environment.
The role involves providing high quality administrative support including booking meeting rooms and hospitality, organising equipment, ordering supplies, supporting meetings with agenda preparation, minute taking and follow-up, maintaining departmental databases, and providing cross cover for team members. You will act as the first point of contact for callers, visitors, and deliveries, manage diaries, organise meetings and events, and handle enquiries professionally.
The post holders will develop a good understanding of clinical systems, demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and proactivity. Flexibility, excellent communication, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential. Previous hospital or community health experience is desirable but not essential.
This role is key to the smooth running of the service, acting as a vital link between the service and its users, coordinating appointment bookings, incoming calls, and liaising with Universal Service teams and the wider Trust.
