The Rating team at WSP GL Hearn is a highly skilled and specialised group dedicated to providing exceptional rating services to clients in the commercial real estate sector. With an in-depth understanding of the complex rating landscape, our team combines extensive industry knowledge with strategic insights to deliver accurate and insightful assessments. We pride ourselves on our ability to navigate changing regulations and market conditions, providing clients with the expertise they need to optimise their property portfolios and minimise their tax liabilities.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Day to day running of a range of valuation instructions for various purposes including Loan Security, Financial Accounting, Taxation, Probate, and Strategic Asset Management
- Property inspections and measured surveys
- Standard property due diligence
- Valuations and report writing
- Maintaining and improving client relationships by upholding quality standards
- Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
- Keeping abreast of valuation standards, best practices, and market movements to enhance technical and market knowledge of all aspects of valuation
Experience
Full membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) with post-qualified experience or imminent qualification. RICS Registered Valuer Status. Experience in UK commercial and residential property markets. Working knowledge of valuation software such as KEL and Argus Developer, as well as Microsoft Office and Excel.
About you
Well-developed report writing skills with the ability to identify key issues impacting value and asset security. A good understanding of The RICS Red Book and Code of Measuring Practice. Knowledge of Landlord & Tenant Law is advantageous. Strong team mindset with a willingness to undertake a challenging and diverse workload in collaboration with colleagues. Effective communication skills and the ability to investigate market data and act on it. Strong desire to proactively progress your career within a global company. Demonstrated effective time management skills.
Qualifications
Educated to degree level or equivalent. Full membership of RICS and RICS Registered Valuer Status required.
