About the Role
Surrey County Cricket Club is committed to making cricket a game for everyone, based on fair play, teamwork, and meritocracy. We are seeking a Women & Girls Development Officer to lead and grow participation in women’s and girls’ cricket across Surrey. This role involves programme management of the Women & Girls Operational Plan, overseeing initiatives run by Surrey Cricket Foundation (SCF), and leading the Women & Girls cross-functional working group. You will identify and support clubs to create sustainable girls’ sections, link clubs with local schools to introduce Chance to Shine coaching, and implement national programmes to ensure long-term growth. Collaboration with Communities, Schools & Young People and Clubs & Leagues teams is essential to drive female participation and embed Women & Girls cricket in all Foundation initiatives. You will also lead new initiatives from the ECB and other stakeholders, act as a thought leader on Women & Girls cricket, monitor participation metrics, and work closely with Marketing & Communications to promote Women & Girls cricket through social media and marketing campaigns.
Experience
- Knowledge and understanding of Women & Girls cricket
- Project management experience or strong understanding of project management including planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Experience working in sports development
- Experience developing relationships with a variety of stakeholders
- Creativity and ability to generate, explore and implement new ideas
- Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data trends
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good attention to detail
- Effective time management skills

Qualifications
- A full driving licence with access to own transport is desirable
- Experience coaching cricket is desirable
- Must meet safeguarding requirements including a satisfactory ECB DBS check
- Hold or be willing to obtain First Aid and Safeguarding qualifications
- Right to work in the UK
