We are looking for ambitious graduates to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment applying your skills to a wide range of clients and large-scale complex projects. Opportunities are available in London and Birmingham.

WSP Real Estate Services (formerly GL Hearn Limited) has a 100+ year history of providing surveying and real estate advisory solutions for public and private clients. Acquired by WSP UK in 2022, the business is fully RICS regulated, continuing to provide regulated surveying services while benefiting from the wider global WSP network.

Our services include rating and valuation, development and viability consultancy, building consultancy, landlord and tenant advice, service charge and insurance, and occupier solutions for public and private sector clients. Graduates are supported to become chartered surveyors via the APC valuation or commercial pathway.

The two-year structured programme involves two 12-month rotations within our rating and valuation teams, providing practical experience and exposure to Red Book valuations, business rates appeals, landlord and tenant negotiations, development and viability consultancy, and affordable housing and regeneration consultancy.

Typical tasks include valuing residential, commercial and mixed-use assets, advising on business rates liabilities and appeals, and assessing the viability of major housing-led developments and regeneration schemes. You will receive direct support from APC supervisors and counsellors, undertake site inspections, attend client meetings, and develop the technical skills required to progress towards chartered surveyor status.

Our Graduate Development Programme supports personal and professional growth through blended learning, including core business and professional skills training, career development workshops, networking opportunities, mentoring for professional registration, and on-the-job experience. Graduates are enrolled in the WSP Surveying Excellence Hub, which provides APC process support, continued professional development, pastoral care, and training.

Experience
We welcome applications from graduates with no prior professional experience but with a strong passion for consulting and the built environment. Experience in related fields is advantageous but not essential as full training and support are provided.

Qualifications
You will have, or be on track to achieve, at least a 2:2 in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in real estate or a related subject.
Please note this role is not open to building or quantity surveying graduates; those candidates should apply to the relevant schemes.
The programme starts in September 2027.
Relevant degree backgrounds align with RICS standards and the requirements of the Advisory Real Estate Services graduate roles.
