About the Role
You will join WTW as a Pension Actuarial Consultant supporting UK Defined Benefit (DB) pensions work. Your assignments will cover a wide range of clients including trustee and corporate engagements. Responsibilities include providing advice on regular valuations, accounting, PPF levies, individual calculations, and factor reviews. You will also contribute to innovative, market-leading projects such as integrated risk management, liability management, GMP equalisation, plan design strategy, asset and liability modelling, journey planning strategy, and mergers and acquisitions.
You will work within a collaborative and inclusive team environment, actively engaging in team collaboration and relationship building. Mentoring junior colleagues and developing their skills will be an important part of your role, alongside demonstrating strong project management and delegation capabilities.

Requirements

Experience
Experience working as a pension actuary on core UK defined benefit pensions actuarial work. Proven delegation skills and a strong client-service orientation.

Strong written and verbal communication skills to deliver impactful client interactions. A sense of accountability and pride in your work. Self-starter with a willingness to challenge yourself and step outside your comfort zone. Ability to think beyond immediate tasks and understand how your work fits into the broader business landscape. Desire to coach and mentor junior colleagues.

Qualifications
IFoA nearly or newly qualified, or fully qualified actuary.
