Additional Learning Support (ALS) Tutor Brent is a tremendously vibrant London borough where the iconic arch of Wembley Stadium dominates the skyline. The Post The main function of the ALS Tutor is to support learning across provision for those with additional support requirements, learners with special educational needs and disabilities and to provide pastoral and administrative support. ALS staff are required to conduct rigorous assessments of students to ensure funding requirements are strictly followed and adhered to ensure compliance. The Person Should have GCSE English and Maths and evidence of continued professional development and any relevant qualifications linked to the role. Have awareness of how to support adults with developing underpinning skills, e.g. English, maths, IT. Have experience of effective assessment and learning support in an educational environment. Have experience of working with people with disabilities and difficulties. Have experience in a relevant field, e.g. education, health, social care, business.
