About the Role
Join Brent Shared Lives to support the residents of Brent, a vibrant London borough known for its cultural diversity and community spirit. Brent Shared Lives offers an alternative to traditional care by enabling adults with learning disabilities and autism to live or stay with Shared Lives carers within the local community. Carers provide care and support in their own family homes, welcoming individuals as part of their extended family and supporting them to live the life they choose.
The Deputy Team Manager will support the Team Manager (Registered Manager) during a period of growth and transformation of Brent Shared Lives as a lead commissioned service. The role involves leading the recruitment and selection of Shared Lives Carers, supporting the team to match customers with suitable carers, and managing a small but complex caseload of carers and customers. Responsibilities include conducting quarterly visits and reviews to ensure the delivery of safe, person-centred care that meets agreed Care Act outcomes.
Brent Shared Lives is a CQC-registered service dedicated to providing vulnerable adults with opportunities to live independently within the community, supported by carers who are recruited, assessed, trained, and supported by scheme officers.
