About the Role
Support the residents of Brent as a Shared Lives Officer. Brent is a vibrant London borough known for its diversity and unique community, spanning both inner and outer London. Brent Shared Lives offers an alternative to traditional care for adults with learning disabilities and autism. In this scheme, individuals live or stay with Shared Lives carers in their family homes and communities, becoming part of the carer's extended family and supported to live the life they choose.

The service is CQC registered and supports vulnerable adults by matching them with carers who are recruited, assessed, trained, and supported by scheme officers. As a Shared Lives Officer, you will assist the Deputy Team Manager in growing and developing Brent Shared Lives as a lead commissioned service. Your responsibilities will include recruiting and selecting Shared Lives Carers, matching customers to suitable carers, managing a caseload of carers and customers, and conducting quarterly visits and reviews to ensure safe, person-centred care that meets Care Act outcomes.

Experience
- Experience working in Adult Social Care services or similar organisations such as the NHS or Voluntary/Charity Sector
- Knowledge of Care Quality Commission requirements related to Shared Lives
