About the Role
Join Peabody as an Administration Assistant supporting the Handyperson Team in delivering essential services to vulnerable tenants and community members. You will be the heartbeat of the team, ensuring smooth operations behind the scenes so frontline services can effectively support those in need. You will be the first point of contact for many vulnerable customers, answering calls, guiding tenants through booking processes with empathy and professionalism. Your daily tasks will include maintaining accurate records, managing invoices and financial administration, scheduling appointments, handling enquiries by phone and email, logging jobs and tracking progress, and supporting wider office functions such as ordering supplies and preparing documents. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute to a kind, reliable, and community-focused service.

Requirements

Experience
Experience in a customer-facing role with clear written and verbal communication skills and a good telephone manner. Proven ability to work collaboratively.

About you
Organised, empathetic, and passionate about making a difference. Excellent organisational, planning, and prioritisation abilities. Understanding of confidentiality and commitment to supporting vulnerable individuals.

Qualifications
GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C or above or equivalent). IT proficiency with Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel. Desirable: IT Certification such as ECDL, familiarity with housing or support services, and experience assisting with financial tracking or budget updates.
