Location
This is a fully remote role; however, you must permanently reside within the UK throughout your employment. In-person roles are also available at our clinic in Exeter (see separate advert).

Hours
Full-time employment is preferred, though part-time (minimum 4 days per week) is also offered.

Salary
£64,000-68,000 per year for allied healthcare professionals and social workers, £70,000-75,000 per year for practitioner psychologists, and competitive salary for GMC-registered clinicians, all depending on prior relevant experience. Includes annual salary reviews, 5% employer pension, company laptop, and share options.

About the Role
Join Paloma Health as an ADOS Autism Assessor delivering high-quality autism assessments for children and young people through remote observations. You will be part of a multidisciplinary assessment team conducting child observations via video calls and participating in peer multidisciplinary diagnostic decision-making with senior clinical support. Paloma is clinically led, Care Quality Commission (CQC) registered, and committed to providing timely NHS neurodevelopmental assessments within 4 weeks of GP referral. We use our own software platform to enhance patient experience and reduce assessor administrative burden. You will benefit from a strong culture of transparency, community, and career development, supported by innovative tools such as AI-assisted diagnostic report writing. The role includes protected time for training, CPD, clinical supervision, and reflection, with clear career progression pathways and a balanced weekly timetable.

Requirements

Experience
- At least 6 months of experience in children and young people's autism diagnostic assessments
- Sound understanding of co-occurring conditions and differentials
- Ability to deliver high-quality child observations
- Good time management and caseload management skills
- High-quality parent and child communication skills
- Enhanced DBS with barred list check

Qualifications
- Professional registration with one of the following: HCPC, NMC, GMC, or Social Work England
- Completion of a recognised ADOS-2 course
- Typical relevant job titles include Psychologist (Clinical, Counselling, Educational), Occupational Therapist, Speech and Language Therapist, Nurse (Mental Health or Learning Disability), Medical Doctor, or Social Worker
- Desirable: Experience conducting risk assessments within autism assessment services and evidence of Safeguarding training (Level 3 and above)
