Advice & Wellbeing Specialist
Peabody
£33,400
Full-time
Description
Your typical day could start with working with residents in their homes and neighbourhoods to understand their immediate needs. Then you might be delivering advice and wellbeing support in the community wellbeing hubs before engaging with external stakeholders in your area to build a strong network of support for our residents.
As an Advice and Wellbeing Specialist, you’ll deliver proactive and trauma informed support to meet the holistic needs of residents. Your support will be tailored to your resident’s needs, and you will work closely with them to understand their wellbeing concerns and agree an action plan to enable them to sustain their tenancies and feel connected to their community. You will empower residents to manage their wellbeing needs by helping them to develop and maintain skills and resilience to lead independent and fulfilled lives. In this Outreach role you’ll be working predominantly in our North West London communities, with one day a week currently working from our Brent office.
Your role covers everything from working with the Allocations, Financial Inclusion and Neighbourhoods teams to providing peer support to colleagues. If you're passionate about customer service, and resilient with a positive and can-do-attitude, we want to hear from you.
To be successful in this role, you’re:
experienced in working with vulnerable people and providing frontline support and advice
experienced in working with complex cases
an excellent communicator - both written and verbally
exceptionally organised with the ability to self-manage a diverse and varied caseload, and able to prioritise work effectively and produce high quality work
Here are just a few of the benefits of working at Peabody:
30 days’ annual holiday, plus bank holidays
two additional paid volunteering days each year
flexible benefits scheme, including family friendly benefits and access to a discount portal
4 x salary life assurance
up to 10% pension contribution
This role will require an Enhanced DBS check, a UK driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
