Peabody
£31,700
Full-time
Description
Your day as an Allocations & Lettings Specialist at Peabody could start with reviewing new build properties for upcoming allocations, before working closely with our Neighbourhood Managers to arrange viewings and sign-ups for potential tenants. Then, you might find yourself collaborating with local authorities to manage priority transfers and rehousing needs, ensuring that homes are let as efficiently as possible and that customer queries are handled with care.
In this role, you’ll be at the heart of ensuring Peabody’s homes are filled quickly and efficiently, minimising empty homes and maximising income. You’ll work collaboratively with various teams to ensure properties meet compliance standards, re-let times are minimised, and customer satisfaction is kept high.
You’re a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’ll enjoy building strong relationships with colleagues and external partners, ensuring that all lettings, allocations, and rehousing needs are handled with care and efficiency. If you’re committed to delivering exceptional service, ensuring compliance with housing regulations, and improving the lives of our residents, this could be the perfect role for you. You will be required to be in the office a minimum of two days per week.
If you’re detail-oriented, passionate about housing, and ready to make a difference, we want to hear from you. You’ll be a key player in our mission to provide quality homes and services, helping people across our communities thrive.
This is a 12-month fixed term contact to cover maternity.
To be successful in this role, you’re:
able to work to tight deadlines while being conscious of the need for timely action.
experienced across a range of housing functions such as lettings and allocations, housing options, and homelessness prevention.
knowledgeable of housing law and have working knowledge of the processes required for the allocation of social housing.
knowledgeable of using choice based letting systems, nominations, processing voids, relets and new properties
have strong IT skills and can interrogate information and devise and produce accurate reports for stakeholders
experienced in liaising with external stakeholders whilst being mindful of GDPR
experience of allocations and Mutual exchange (knowledge of this is useful) process for a registered housing provider
Here are just a few of the benefits of working at Peabody:
30 days’ annual holiday, plus bank holidays
two additional paid volunteering days each year
flexible benefits scheme, including family friendly benefits and access to a discount portal
4 x salary life assurance
up to 10% pension contribution
