The vacancy As an Apprentice Gardener at our Thamesmead site, you'll be working outdoors in all weather conditions, carrying out a variety of gardening tasks. From shrub bed maintenance and grass cutting to planting bedding, shrubs, and trees, you'll gain valuable hands-on experience while contributing to the upkeep of our extensive landscaped grounds. You're a nature enthusiast who enjoys working in a team and is eager to learn. You'll be working closely with our experienced gardening team, learning the ropes and developing your skills to become a Senior Gardener upon completion of your apprenticeship. The successful candidate will be required to attend college one day per week as part of their studies for this apprenticeship. Your role involves: Maintaining shrub beds Planting bedding, shrubs, and trees Grass cutting Spraying of chemicals To be successful in this role, you'll need: A passion for gardening and working outdoors A minimum of two GCSEs (grade 9-4) A keen interest in providing excellent customer service Willingness to undergo a Basic DBS check This Apprenticeship is for 24 months and will be on a fixed-term basis during your studies. You will then go on to a Permanent contract as a Senior Gardener upon successful completion of your Apprenticeship.
