UCG educates over 11,000 learners annually, including 16–18-year-olds, adults, apprentices and students with high needs. With an annual turnover exceeding £50 million, we are one of the top 20 largest college groups in the UK, offering a wide range of vocational and academic education and training across various levels.

As Assistant Principal for Student Support Services, you will contribute to the strategic and operational leadership, management, development and performance of the College Group. You will ensure consistently high standards of teaching, learning and assessment across your curriculum area, focusing on learner experience, achievement, attendance, retention, progression and destinations. You will review and contribute to the Curriculum Delivery Plan (CDP) and associated processes, using data, quality assurance and learner feedback to identify priorities and drive sustained improvement.

In addition, you will lead, manage and develop a team of staff, including direct line management responsibility for Curriculum Managers and/or other senior curriculum staff. You will be responsible for staff performance, professional development and facilitating appropriate training opportunities.

You will also develop effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders such as employers, industry partners, awarding organisations and universities to ensure the curriculum remains current, relevant and aligned with learner and economic needs.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future development and performance of Student Support Services across United Colleges Group and to make a significant contribution to the experience and success of our learners.
