About the Role
United Colleges Group is seeking ambitious, outstanding candidates to join our teaching staff as an Hourly Paid Lecturer in Biochemistry. This role involves teaching on AS/A2, BTEC, and Higher Education courses within the School of Science, with opportunities to contribute to the development of Biology and Chemistry disciplines. Experience with Access Courses is advantageous. You will be responsible for tutoring, assessing, recording, and tracking students’ progress across different courses, working collaboratively within a dedicated and skilled team.

Experience
Proven experience teaching Science subjects, particularly Biology and Chemistry, across AS/A2, BTEC, and Higher Education levels. Experience with Access Courses is desirable. Demonstrated ability in tutoring, assessing, and tracking student progress is essential.

Qualifications
A degree or equivalent qualification in a related scientific area is required. You should be familiar with the current BTEC and A level curriculum. A recognised Level 4 teaching qualification (PGCE/CertEd) is essential, or you must be willing to work towards a Level 5 teaching qualification upon appointment.
