About the Role
At Moody's, we unite the brightest minds to turn today’s risks into tomorrow’s opportunities. We strive to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome to be who they are—with the freedom to exchange ideas, think innovatively, and listen to each other and customers in meaningful ways. Moody’s is transforming how the world sees risk. As a global leader in ratings and integrated risk assessment, we’re advancing AI to move from insight to action—enabling intelligence that not only understands complexity but responds to it. We decode risk to unlock opportunity, helping our clients navigate uncertainty with clarity, speed, and confidence.

The Assistant Vice President, UK Government and Public Affairs supports Moody's Government, Public and Regulatory Affairs strategy across the United Kingdom through stakeholder engagement, thought leadership, and cross-functional collaboration. This role supports the SVP in managing relationships with UK government officials, regulators, parliamentarians, trade associations, and other relevant third parties.

Key responsibilities include preparing briefing materials, talking points, and background research ahead of senior-level external meetings and events; attending and representing Moody's at industry forums, working groups, conferences, and stakeholder events; identifying opportunities to engage with officials and stakeholders who influence the UK policy landscape and recommending engagement strategies; contributing to thought leadership content that positions Moody's perspectives on topics of interest to UK policymakers and regulators; and supporting the development of policy briefing documents, testimony, and other materials that advance Moody's objectives in the United Kingdom.

The role requires close collaboration with colleagues in Legal, Compliance, Communications, and business lines to ensure regulatory positions are commercially informed and internally aligned. The AVP also supports the wider Government, Public and Regulatory Affairs team on cross-regional projects and initiatives and contributes to the global functioning of the team by sharing insights on UK developments and participating in cross-regional coordination.

Moody's Government, Public and Regulatory Affairs team is a global, strategic function within Global Corporate Affairs, reporting directly to the Chief Corporate Affairs Officer. The team provides expertise in government relations, public policy, regulatory analysis, and geopolitical affairs that inform Moody's strategy, commercial activities, and risk management across all business lines and markets. By joining this team, you will contribute to high-impact work at the centre of Moody's UK engagement strategy, helping to shape Moody's relationships with Westminster, Whitehall, and key regulatory and industry bodies, while contributing to broader cross-regional initiatives across EMEA and globally.

Moody’s is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender expression, gender identity or any other characteristic protected by law.
