About the Role
As an AVP in Ratings focusing on Fund Finance at Moody's, you will lead the analysis for assigning new and surveillance ratings to a variety of fund finance transactions including rated note feeders, subscription credit facilities, net asset value loans, and asset-backed lending facilities. You will manage a portfolio of Funds and Asset Managers, conducting ongoing surveillance, credit assessments, and presenting recommendations to rating committees. Building and maintaining strong relationships with fund sponsors, lenders, and arrangers will be key to supporting analytical excellence and gaining market insight. You will represent Moody’s Ratings as a thought leader by presenting at industry conferences, webinars, and podcasts, as well as authoring sector comments. Collaboration across Moody’s Ratings teams will be essential to drive credit analysis excellence. Additionally, you will contribute to methodology and technology development projects to enhance analytical capabilities and efficiency, and mentor junior rating analysts to support their professional growth and credit skills development. Joining our Funds and Asset Management team means contributing to high-quality credit ratings and research that enhance market transparency, support investor decision-making, and expand Moody’s brand as a trusted credit insight source. You will also engage with AI tools to improve analytical processes and drive efficiency across ratings operations.
Experience
5+ years of credit/risk assessment experience with a proven track record in fund finance, asset management, or structured finance. Demonstrated understanding of asset management and fund finance sectors, including key players and industry drivers. Strong quantitative aptitude and analytical skills, with proficiency in financial modelling.

Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline, or equivalent advanced qualification. CFA or CAIA professional qualification would be highly beneficial.
