What if you could do the kind of work the world needs? At WSP, you can access our global scale, contribute to landmark projects and connect with the brightest minds in your field to do the best work of your life. You can embrace your curiosity in a culture that celebrates new ideas and diverse perspectives. You can experience a world of opportunity and the chance to shape a career as unique as you. This is a fantastic opportunity to join WSP as part of an expanding team delivering a variety of prestigious projects. Join our team to help design and construct the tallest buildings in the world, iconic sports venues, reimagine historic structures and develop new ways of working by creating kit-of-parts. We have a diverse portfolio of projects across all sectors, making this a great opportunity to progress your career working in a friendly, inclusive team on some of the world’s most exciting projects.

You will be joining our expanding Building Structures team as a full-time Associate, responsible for project management, technical leadership and delivery of schemes from inception through to handover to the client. In this role you will:
- Develop innovative and sustainable designs from concept for a wide range of challenging UK and international multi-disciplinary design projects including high-rise, stadia/arenas, urban regeneration, healthcare, commercial & mixed use, major refurbishment and data centres
- Take a key technical leadership role on multi-disciplinary design projects from concept through detailed design, coordinating with Architects, Engineers and specialist consultants
- Participate or lead tender bids and business development opportunities
- Participate in fee agreements and manage the commercial position on projects
- Exercise independent judgement and resolve technical issues
- Access a world-leading network of industry experts
- Mentor and develop junior team members working towards their Chartership

You will work within a diverse and talented team that owns and leads the design process, encourages delivery to agreed programmes, and supports less experienced colleagues through technical review, mentoring and advice. The team takes a strategic lead on large multi-disciplinary projects and provides bespoke structural solutions to niche and architectural-led concept designs. You will form working relationships with other WSP disciplines, external consultants, stakeholders and clients, managing processes to resolve technical issues and risks in a timely and cost-effective manner. The team provides sustainable structural solutions from concept through detailed design and construction, offering specialist advice on sustainable design, net zero carbon, MMC and DfMA.

Reporting to a senior team member, you will have the opportunity to work on some of the most exciting and high-profile multi-disciplinary development projects across the UK and internationally. Our client base spans private and public sectors, including regional and national clients.
