About the Role
We are seeking an Associate to join our Consumer Retail Investment Banking team in London. In this role, you will leverage your skills and ideas to contribute to the success of Goldman Sachs. Associates play a key role in developing and strengthening client relationships, participating in advisory teams, and structuring and executing a wide range of financial transactions. Responsibilities include creating and analyzing financial models, organizing and preparing client presentations, managing transaction processes, and assisting in transaction structuring. You will gain exposure to the firm’s businesses and deepen your knowledge of the investment banking industry while developing key analytical, communication, and marketing skills.

Associates are actively involved in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions, fixed income and equity issuances, and perform customized company valuation analysis. They prepare presentations explaining industry trends, assess client situations to provide financial advice, and recommend strategies to meet client goals. Additionally, Associates coordinate teams of tax advisors, attorneys, and bankers for various transactions, lead due diligence processes, and participate in negotiating legal documentation. From maintaining client communication to structuring client transactions, Associates are vital to Goldman Sachs’ banking team investments.

Associates also play an integral role in fostering a strong apprenticeship culture through ongoing training, mentoring, and professional development of analysts and interns.

Experience
Minimum 3 years’ investment banking or equivalent experience. Proven experience in financial modeling, transaction execution, and client advisory roles. History of outstanding academic and professional achievement.
