The Associate, Healthcare Strategy and Planning (HS+P) is a key role within the Lexica Healthcare Strategy & Planning team. In conjunction with the Director and other colleagues you will help achieve the overall business plan to grow and develop strategic healthcare planning as a leading-edge offering to external clients, including NHS organisations and private sector clients in the UK and overseas.

The role is full-time, client facing, and you will be expected to be a key leader within the HS+P team in developing healthcare strategy and planning expertise, processes and procedures to ensure a quality assured service delivery. You will be responsible for the delivery and performance of healthcare strategy and planning advisory services of varying breadth and scope, managing those projects, and for leading teams on major commissions.

You will be expected to contribute to an annual new business development target in relation to the development of a portfolio of consultancy clients. You will also contribute to preparing tender responses and delivering presentations for new business opportunities.

Strategic healthcare planners with a clinical or design background, and healthcare planning experience, preferably including application of Hospital 2.0 guidance, are invited to apply.

Experience
Extensive knowledge of health services and/or health facilities gained through clinical practice, roles within health providers, or as an architect or other professional contributing to healthcare projects. Experience in strategic analysis, demand and capacity modelling, models of care, clinical and functional briefing, schedules of accommodation and design reviews. Experience in client relationship management and account management within a portfolio of clients. Experience leading clinical stakeholder engagement sessions and managing engagement programmes.

About you
Agile and adaptable, able to support delivery of a wide range of projects related to clinical and operational strategy development, health services and facilities planning. Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills. Strong writing skills for reports, briefs, business cases and peer review. Proficient in data analytics to assess health service needs and demands. Creative and solutions-focused, able to develop and assess service models and options. Naturally curious with the ability to apply rigour to evidence reviews and contribute to thought leadership. Open and culturally aware, able to contribute to projects globally and share best practices. Collaborative spirit, fostering multi-disciplinary teamwork and supporting quality assured service delivery. Strong organisational skills to manage project budgets, invoicing, delivery and team inputs. Motivated to contribute to new business development and bid preparation.

Qualifications
Healthcare planning experience, preferably including application of Hospital 2.0 guidance. Clinical or design background preferred. Relevant professional qualifications or equivalent experience in health services, healthcare planning, architecture or related fields.
