About the Role
Southwark Council is seeking an Audio Visual (AV) Manager to lead and shape AV services across iconic borough sites. This role offers the opportunity to deliver seamless, cutting-edge AV experiences for internal and external events, supporting collaboration, innovation, and the borough’s strategic vision. You will provide strategic leadership and hands-on oversight for all AV services, ensuring flawless delivery for meetings, events, and high-profile engagements. You will manage and develop a talented AV Services Team, oversee AV assets and supplier relationships, champion a customer-first approach, and maintain health and safety compliance. This is a pivotal role at the heart of London’s civic life, engaging with senior stakeholders, elected members, and external partners to drive continuous innovation and excellence in AV services.

Requirements

Experience
- Strong knowledge of modern Audio-Visual systems, trends, and event technology.
- Substantial hands-on AV and event production experience, ideally in-house or with an AV supplier.
- Proven track record managing sound, lighting, and IT for large-scale events.
- Experience in budget setting, control, and monitoring.
