About the Role
At WSP, you will have the opportunity to work on landmark projects, collaborate with leading experts, and contribute to innovative building technology solutions. As a Principal or Associate AV (Audio Visual) Design Consultant within the Building Technology Systems (BTS) team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality AV solutions that integrate seamlessly with ICT, Smart Buildings, BMS, and other building systems. Your focus will be on the technical delivery of AV projects, providing senior-level design expertise, mentoring junior colleagues, and ensuring robust, coordinated project outputs across all design and implementation stages.
You will lead AV workstreams, collaborate with multi-discipline teams, support client engagement, and ensure designs are practical, well-integrated, and aligned with operational needs. Your work will enhance BTS’s reputation as a trusted provider of technically excellent building technology design. This role suits someone with substantial experience in AV systems design, including infrastructure development, system schematics, equipment specification, technical documentation, and coordination within architectural environments.
Key accountabilities include providing clear technical leadership, supporting cross-discipline coordination, maintaining project profitability, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. You will also support the professional development of junior staff and help build strong client relationships through trusted technical advice.
