At Moody's, we unite the brightest minds to turn today’s risks into tomorrow’s opportunities. We strive to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome to be who they are—with the freedom to exchange ideas, think innovatively, and listen to each other and customers in meaningful ways. Moody’s is transforming how the world sees risk. As a global leader in ratings and integrated risk assessment, we’re advancing AI to move from insight to action—enabling intelligence that not only understands complexity but responds to it. We decode risk to unlock opportunity, helping our clients navigate uncertainty with clarity, speed, and confidence.
If you are excited about this opportunity but do not meet every single requirement, please apply! You still may be a great fit for this role or other open roles. We are seeking candidates who model our values: invest in every relationship, lead with curiosity, champion diverse perspectives, turn inputs into actions, and uphold trust through integrity.
As an AVP in Ratings for Structured Finance, you will perform credit analysis for new and existing structured finance transactions across relevant asset classes, including assessing transaction structures, collateral performance, and key credit risks. You will support the assignment and ongoing surveillance of credit ratings by conducting detailed quantitative and qualitative analysis and preparing rating committee materials. Monitoring transaction performance and identifying developments that may impact credit quality, ratings, or sector outlooks will be key responsibilities.
You will engage with issuers, arrangers, servicers, investors, and other market participants to gather information and enhance analytical understanding of transactions and sectors. Additionally, you will contribute to and lead rating committee discussions by presenting analytical findings and recommendations supported by robust credit analysis. Collaboration with analysts, associates, and senior team members across Moody's Ratings will ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency in analytical processes.
Authoring credit opinions, research content, sector commentary, and other analytical publications that support market transparency and investor understanding will be part of your role. You will also contribute to methodology enhancements, technology initiatives, and process improvement projects, including the responsible adoption of AI-enabled tools. Supporting the development and mentoring of junior team members by sharing technical knowledge and best practices is expected.
Our Structured Finance Group delivers independent credit ratings and research across a broad range of securitization and structured finance markets. By joining our team, you will work on complex and evolving financing structures, collaborate with experienced professionals, and contribute to the adoption of innovative technologies that enhance analytical capabilities and operational efficiency.
