What we’re looking for: Do you have experience of working with vulnerable adults and personal care provision? Are you an excellent communicator with the ability to empathise and promote independence in others? Do you hold an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent? Are you flexible to work across a shift pattern that includes weekends and bank holidays as required? If so, this role is perfect for you! Here at Peabody, we have an opportunity for a Care Support Worker to join us on a casual/bank basis at our Sundial Day Centre. A bit about the role: As a Care Support Worker, you will support vulnerable adults with varying needs including mental health, mild learning disabilities, mild to moderate dementia, age related conditions and physical disabilities, to live independently within the community. Some of the key results for the role include: Provide physical, emotional and social support to clients ensuring individual care needs are met. Participate in regular transport duties. Take the the lead in providing and delivering activities and attend outings; encourage client participation and monitor attendance; evaluate outcomes. Ensure any adult protection matters are raised as appropriate and in accordance with Peabody policy. Ensure care plans and assessments are individually tailored and completed on time. Provide cover across a shift pattern between 8.30am – 7pm, including weekends and bank holidays as required. This role will require an Enhanced DBS check.
