About the Role
The London Borough of Harrow is seeking a proactive and skilled Brokerage Officer to join its Adult Social Care team. This vital role supports the delivery of safe, secure, and high-quality placements for vulnerable adults and children, ensuring each placement aligns with individual support plans. You will work closely with Care Managers, service users, families, and providers to source and negotiate appropriate residential, nursing, supported living, and community-based services including day care, transport, domiciliary care, and reablement services. A key responsibility is developing strong working relationships with existing and new providers to understand their capabilities and specialisms, ensuring the best possible match for service users.
The postholder will play a central role in price negotiations, managing service quality, and resolving service failures or complaints. You will also contribute to commissioning new services for individuals with complex needs, maximising value for money while maintaining high standards of care. This dynamic and rewarding opportunity requires a strong understanding of Adult Social Care, excellent negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. Experience using Mosaic and knowledge of contractual frameworks are highly desirable.
The role requires a commitment to equality, health and safety, and continuous improvement. Occasional travel and flexibility in working hours may be required. If you are passionate about making a difference and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply and help us put residents first.
