About the Role
The London Borough of Harrow's Adults Social Care Division is seeking a qualified Social Worker to join their Safeguarding Adults Team. The successful candidate will provide a professional social work service focused on enquiries (assessments and reviews) into allegations of abuse of vulnerable adults. Responsibilities include attending Planning Meetings and Case Conferences, and creating and reviewing protection plans. Assessments and reviews will take place in service users’ homes as well as residential care, nursing homes, and hospitals, requiring travel within the Harrow area.
You will work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary agencies to ensure coordinated and effective protection of service users. The role also involves covering duty as required by the service. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to safeguarding vulnerable adults within a supportive and diverse community.
Experience
- Experience in Safeguarding Adults
- Experience of risk assessment and risk management in social care settings
- Experience carrying out mental capacity assessments
- Experience working in a duty team within any social care setting

Qualifications
- Appropriate professional qualification such as CQSW, CSS, Dip. SW or equivalent
- Registration with Social Work England
- Working knowledge of relevant legislation including the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005
