About the Role
Join Mears Group in a hands-on leadership role where you will provide strong operational oversight, excellent communication, and a commitment to service excellence. You will manage trades and subcontractors, carry out inspections, and ensure compliance with company procedures and industry regulations. Your responsibilities will include conducting pre- and post-inspections on internal and external tenanted properties, supervising and coordinating subcontractors across multiple workstreams, and overseeing planned, cyclical, and responsive repairs to ensure timely and high-quality delivery. You will ensure all works meet industry standards and building regulations, log works and generate reports using PDA systems and Excel, provide excellent customer care, monitor productivity and contract profitability, conduct regular site visits, compile management reports, and ensure adherence to health and safety protocols and company operating procedures.

Experience
Proven experience supervising operatives within the repairs and maintenance sector. Experience conducting inspections and assessing work against quality standards. Strong understanding of planned, cyclical, and responsive repair programmes. Ability to use PDA systems and Excel for reporting and logging tasks.

About you
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong customer focus and commitment to service excellence. Organisational and planning skills to manage resources and meet deadlines. A full valid UK manual driving licence is required. To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be over 21 years old, have held your licence for over 3 months, and have less than 9 points.
