Description
As a Building Safety Project Manager, no two days will be the same, you might start your day by inspecting fire safety measures in one of our high-rise buildings, ensuring everything is up to standard. Next, you could be collaborating with the Development Team to review fire strategies audit regulation 38 documentation for a new residential projects, making sure that all precautions are in line with current regulations. Later, you could be training staff on best practices for fire and structural safety or reviewing reports from consultants such as retrospective fire strategies and FRAEWs to ensure compliance. In this role, you’ll play a crucial part in keeping our residents safe and secure from design stage. You’ll be responsible for assessing risks, ensuring our buildings meet the highest safety standards, and maintaining strong relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders. Your work will directly contribute to the wellbeing of our communities by making sure that our safety practices are robust and up to date. You’re someone who’s detail-oriented and passionate about safety. You enjoy problem-solving and are comfortable managing multiple tasks at once. You’ll thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with different teams to find creative solutions to complex safety issues. You’ll need to be on-site regularly to carry out inspections and assessments, with the flexibility to work remotely when needed. Your role covers everything from ensuring compliance with fire and structural safety regulations to supporting and training staff. To be successful in this role, you’re: Passionate about building safety and committed to protecting residents. Experienced in fire safety, structural safety, architecture or/and building regulations. Able to read and understand architectural detail drawings, floor plans and design certificates. Adept at managing multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively under pressure. A strong communicator, able to work collaboratively with various teams and external partners. Experienced in the building, construction and maintenance sector, with a focus on social housing.
