About the Role
Apple Pay is seeking an experienced Business Development professional to join the Apple Pay team to develop relationships and strategic alliances with e-commerce merchants, payment service providers, processors, and various enablers in Central & Eastern Europe. The focus is on encouraging adoption of Apple Pay in merchant apps. This role requires close collaboration with Apple Pay business leaders, Worldwide Developer Relations, product marketing, and engineering product teams to shape adoption strategies that impact core business performance. While deep experience across online payments is helpful, it is not required provided there is a strong interest in and knowledge of the e-commerce ecosystem and emerging mobile payments. A willingness to understand or learn inherent risks such as fraud and acceptance costs, and issues like low conversion, is expected, along with the technical fluency to lead iOS SDK feature enablement discussions. The role involves identifying and building a strategic pipeline of prospective partners in CEE, engaging key decision makers, and guiding them through the value and adoption of Apple Pay. You will participate in cross-functional internal teams to define partners, product requirements, adoption strategies, integration and testing plans, and go-to-market launch programs in the CEE region. Ongoing partnership support includes delivering new feature enhancements and guidance to drive customer trial and usage. Regular communication to internal teams regarding adoption strategy and results is required. Frequent travel across Europe is expected.

Requirements

Experience
Proven success in building and sustaining strong, successful relationships across the e-commerce value chain. Experience promoting payment product adoption with various online merchant segments, PSPs, payment schemes, and processors. Skilled business developer able to advise both technical and non-technical partner stakeholders, translating Apple Pay capabilities into practical adoption strategies. Experience guiding strategic partners through technical and business considerations to support their adoption decisions. Demonstrated passion to ideate, create, and deliver innovative customer experiences with merchants and their e-commerce vendors in Central & Eastern Europe.

About you
Strong interest in and knowledge of the e-commerce ecosystem and emerging mobile payments. Willingness to understand or learn inherent risks and issues related to payments. Technical fluency to lead iOS SDK feature enablement discussions. Skilled at helping partners identify, navigate, and overcome technical or systemic complexities to drive adoption of new technology. Fluent in English and either Polish or Czech. Able to travel frequently across Europe as required.

Qualifications
Not explicitly stated; however, relevant experience in business development, e-commerce payments, and fluency in required languages are essential.
