About the Role
Join a rapidly growing team at our London design center. At Apple, new ideas and complex challenges quickly transform into phenomenal products, services, and customer experiences. The AMS IP team manages a wide portfolio of IPs and complete subsystems integrated into all Apple products. As a Design Verification Engineer intern, you will collaborate with multiple teams across Apple and develop a deep understanding of various chips and platforms to incorporate system-level insights into the verification flow. Your responsibilities will span end-to-end verification processes: starting from specification, defining verification strategies and plans, executing verification, performing performance analysis, and managing quality metrics to achieve verification signoff.

You will define comprehensive property sets for functional coverage of hardware models, formalize verification properties using SystemVerilog Assertions (SVA), execute formal proofs, and analyze convergence behavior balancing accuracy and execution time. You will also document methodologies and best practices to enhance the verification flow.

This internship focuses on extending the verification framework to integrate properties at higher levels, enabling system verification and ensuring robust hardware validation.

Requirements

Experience
Strong foundation in formal verification methodologies and hardware modeling. Experience or knowledge of formal verification techniques and hardware description languages such as Verilog and/or VHDL. Familiarity with scripting languages like Perl or Python is expected. Experience working with international teams is a plus.

About you
Passionate about mathematics with strong analytical and mathematical reasoning skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Motivated to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and eager to learn and contribute to cutting-edge hardware verification.

Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science or an equivalent field. Availability for a minimum 6-month internship.
