About the Role
Programme start date: September 2027. Our award-winning graduate programme provides the ideal springboard for an exciting and meaningful career in global financial markets. As a graduate, you will join the FTSE Russell Division, a dynamic, fast-paced environment where instant reaction and long-term vision are equally important. FTSE Russell helps investors make better-informed decisions by providing category-defining indices across asset classes and investment objectives, creating new possibilities for the global investment community.
The 12-month development journey aims to build foundational skills key to your future success. You will build your knowledge of LSEG, Financial Markets and the business during a global induction, followed by divisional-led inductions to immerse you into the business through team-led overviews and introductions. You will participate in group projects aligned to LSEG goals and meet your cohort in person at ‘Ignite’, the programme mid-point skills offsite. You will also have access to opportunities to earn industry-recognized qualifications, including 5 study days during the programme.
From day one, you will be aligned to FTSE Russell, allowing you to develop within a secure framework. This is an excellent opportunity for students studying Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance or Economics with a strong inclination towards FinTech/Technology to apply their skills to a business-related role. During recruitment, your skills and interests will be matched to the needs of the business to place you in your first rotation.
LSEG offers a comprehensive benefits portfolio designed to support the financial, emotional and physical wellbeing of employees and their families. We encourage an appreciative, collaborative and inclusive culture that promotes wellbeing and hybrid working, with a balance of office and flexible working days. You will be part of a global organisation of 25,000 people across 65 countries, committed to sustainability, diversity and inclusion, and community engagement through the LSEG Foundation.
Experience
Demonstrable interest in financial markets built through studies, work experience or extracurricular activities. Ability to analyse data, draw conclusions and propose solutions. Experience working in fast-paced environments is advantageous.
About you
Curious and strategic thinker who can connect the dots. Focused, resilient and flexible to adapt to changing demands. Strong collaborator with excellent communication skills. Passionate about understanding the full breadth of the organisation and contributing to its growth and diversification. Ability to work in the UK without restrictions for the duration of the programme. You will stand out if you demonstrate that what you achieve is as important as how you achieve it.
Qualifications
Graduate who has completed studies in 2026 or a final year undergraduate or Master’s student who will complete all course requirements before summer 2027. Suitable for candidates studying Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance or Economics with an interest in FinTech/Technology.
