Business Rates Officer £37,443 - £39,264 per annum An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Rates Officer to join the shared service business rates team between the London Borough of Newham and London Borough of Havering. Previous business rates experience is essential and the preferred candidate will be qualified to an IRRV tech level or have relevant experience. The candidate will be working within the fast paced environment dealing with the billing, collection and recovery of business rates for the two authorities. You will be dealing with members of the public by Telephone and Email and must have knowledge of business rates legislation and recovery processes. Experience of taking liability order hearings is desired. The successful candidate will be expected to be able to manage their own workloads and work self sufficiently as well as part of a team.
