About the Role
Are you passionate about people, the places where they live, and policymaking? Brent is a London borough full of contrasts and rapid growth, offering a unique and exciting environment for public service. As a Cabinet Officer in the Leader’s Office, you will provide executive support to at least four Cabinet Members, assist in preparing agendas, reports, and actions, and help shape policy to turn the Cabinet’s ambitions into action for residents.
You will build strong internal networks to facilitate effective relationships between Cabinet and the Corporate Management Team (CMT), support Cabinet Members in communicating their priorities to external stakeholders, and gain unparalleled exposure to senior politicians and council officers. This role offers significant scope for development, including building a portfolio of policy expertise and supporting projects aligned with the council’s corporate priorities.

Highly organised with attention to detail, you must be able to support multiple Cabinet Members and navigate complex, confidential, and sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
