As a Licensing and Enforcement Processing Officer within Brent Council’s Licensing and Enforcement team, you will process Private Rented Sector (PRS) licence applications from initial submission through to issue. Your responsibilities include carrying out administrative and eligibility checks, verifying information, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring applications meet statutory and Council requirements.
You will provide a proactive and responsive service to applicants and licence holders, guiding landlords, tenants and members of the public through the licensing process, resolving enquiries and providing clear advice and support via telephone, written and face-to-face channels. Working collaboratively with colleagues and partner services, you will help progress applications and service requests, identify issues requiring further action, and ensure urgent or complex matters are referred appropriately.

Experience
Experience in processing applications, maintaining accurate records, and providing customer service in a busy environment is desirable. Confidence using digital systems and learning new technology is essential.
