We are recruiting enthusiastic and committed social workers who have qualified within the last two years to join our Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) programme. This nationally recognised 12-month programme supports newly qualified social workers (NQSWs) in their transition to professional practice.

Brent’s ASYE programme is well embedded and offers dedicated monthly reflective spaces, a specialised Learning Academy providing coaching, mentoring and bespoke support, and access to a wide range of training courses including Trauma-Informed Practice, Systemic Practice, Restorative Justice, Contextual Safeguarding, and Signs of Safety.

As an ASYE social worker, you will carry out a range of social work duties depending on your service area, underpinned by relationship-based practice and ensuring the voice of the child is central to all planning.

Brent is committed to inclusive practice and offers specialised training such as LGBTQ+ Awareness and Anti-Racist Practice. You will have the opportunity to contribute to innovative child and family practice that promotes the voice of the child and influences service provision.

Experience
Applicants should have qualified as social workers within the last two years and be ready to undertake the ASYE programme. Previous experience is not required but a commitment to professional development and social work practice is essential.

About you
You will be passionate about improving the lives of children and families, promoting independence, resilience and helping them reach their full potential. You must have a current registration or an application in progress with Social Work England (SWE).

You will demonstrate a commitment to relationship-based practice, inclusive and anti-discriminatory approaches, and the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse community.

Qualifications
You must have completed your Social Work qualification and be eligible to register with Social Work England.
