About the Role
Southwark bereavement services manages three cemeteries and one crematorium. We are currently looking to recruit a Cemeteries Operative to build on the achievements of our service and assist in delivering services for the bereaved. You will be part of an ambitious, successful team providing residents with high quality, customer-focused, respectful, and sensitive services.
In this role, you will lead on and undertake a wide variety of duties to maintain standards within our cemeteries in accordance with relevant statutory legislation, health and safety requirements, local responsibilities, and management of memorials. You will represent the service and promote active public participation by working closely with residents, community groups, charities, sponsors, and third-party organisations.

Experience
Experience working within a bereavement or care-related industry in either a corporate environment or a similar local authority setting is required. A willingness to undertake continuous professional and personal development is essential.
