The Change and Improvement team is central to the council’s transformation programme, working across the organisation and with partners to deliver improved outcomes for Brent. This role offers an incredible opportunity for someone passionate about collaboration and innovation, with the ability to lead high-profile projects, work with multi-disciplinary teams and drive the corporate change and improvement programme.
You will manage projects end to end, from initial conception through to delivery. The Resident Experience Programme focuses on making services easier to access, reducing avoidable handoffs, improving first contact resolution and ensuring digital change is inclusive, ethical and designed around real resident needs. You will bring together people from across the organisation, helping them work beyond directorate boundaries and focus on the resident experience.
This role involves coordinating and delivering a wide range of challenging, cross-cutting projects, developing new approaches and utilising innovative techniques to achieve efficiencies, customer-focused services and organisational culture change.

Experience
Proven experience delivering digital, customer services or service transformation projects. Experience working in customer services or resident-facing environments is highly valued. Familiarity with agile and waterfall methodologies, benefits realisation and outcome-focused delivery is important.
About you
You are an experienced and highly driven Project Manager with the ability to act strategically, influence stakeholders and stimulate change. You are passionate about creating simpler, more accessible and responsive services, motivated by improving outcomes for residents. You understand the challenges of channel shift, customer journey redesign and resolving issues at first contact.
You are a strong communicator who quickly builds effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including senior managers, frontline teams, digital colleagues, community and voluntary sector leads and residents. You work collaboratively across services, keeping projects on track, communicating progress and focusing on timely delivery.
You can manage multiple priorities, demonstrating strong project management skills to ensure plans, risks and dependencies are well managed and delivery stays on track.
Qualifications
