About the Role
Brent is a vibrant London borough known for its diversity and unique cultural heritage, spanning both inner and outer London. The council is undergoing a significant transformation to better meet the needs of its community, making this an exciting time to join us. We are seeking a Senior Environmental Health and Enforcement Officer to join our Health & Safety Enforcement Team. The role involves health and safety interventions, accident investigations, special treatment licensing, and smoke free enforcement. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing of the Borough’s visitors and businesses through a wide range of commercial settings and high-profile projects aimed at improving public health and safety.
Experience
Proven experience in health and safety enforcement including investigating RIDDOR notifications, health and safety complaints, and taking enforcement action. Experience working within commercial settings and delivering health and safety interventions is essential. Consideration will also be given to newly qualified Environmental Health Officers who have signed up to the CIEH EHP pathway to registration.

Qualifications
A professional qualification to undertake health and safety interventions such as NEBOSH or a Diploma/BSc/MSc in Environmental Health is required. You must be EHRB registered with the CIEH and have a good working knowledge and understanding of health and safety legislation.
