About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity in the Child Protection Conference team as a Children Protection Advisor. In this role, you will chair Child Protection Conferences and hold a unique oversight responsibility for the child protection plans developed at these meetings. You will provide safeguarding advice to practitioners, monitor and support practice improvement, and be a child-focused practitioner dedicated to developing young people’s involvement in their own meetings and planning processes. You will work collaboratively with agency partners, facilitating multi-partner meetings to contribute to risk analysis and decision making, managing diverse perspectives from different disciplines and individuals.
Initial Child Protection Conferences in Ealing take place face to face, requiring attendance in the office to facilitate these meetings. The Ealing borough is a diverse multicultural area, and the team strongly embeds cultural awareness and diversity in daily work and interactions with children and families. The role demands a passion for delivering a family-centred, child-focused service while fulfilling statutory safeguarding duties in line with current legislation and Pan London guidance.

Experience
Proven experience and sound knowledge of safeguarding, thresholds, and safeguarding processes. Experience chairing Child Protection Conferences and working collaboratively with multi-agency partners is essential.

You are confident in managing multi-partner meetings, supporting young people’s involvement, and committed to statutory safeguarding duties in line with legislation and guidance. You demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and are able to manage different perspectives effectively.
Qualifications
Relevant professional qualifications or experience in safeguarding and child protection are expected. The role requires adherence to safer recruitment practices and the ability to pass an enhanced DBS check.
