As a Cleaning Operative, you will be responsible for delivering safe, compliant cleaning services on time while providing a leading customer experience to a high-profile site and VIPs. You will help create a memorable workplace experience by implementing the service culture mindset and promoting positive behaviours that impact colleagues and customers.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out all cleaning tasks according to the work schedule, ensuring areas are cleaned to the highest standards at all times
- Clean, stock, and supply designated facility areas including T-Points, communal areas, toilets, showers, gym, office areas, meeting rooms, and any ad hoc areas
- Empty and clean waste bins and recycling areas
- Attend to ad hoc duties as directed by the site supervisor
- Clean meeting rooms, tea points, washrooms, showers, changing rooms, canteen, gym, car park, loading bay, stairwells, landings, and lifts
- Remove carpet stains using specific cleaning machines
- Perform hard floor scrubbing with appropriate machines
- Vacuum and mop floors
- Damp clean trained surfaces
- Perform high- and low-level cleaning including dusting, polishing surfaces, glass, and mirrors
- Clean fixtures and fittings such as radiators, handles, kitchen fittings and equipment, sanitary fitments, desks, tables, chairs, fire extinguishers, door frames, tiles, walls, blinds, and wall pictures
- Ensure equipment is cleaned after use, maintained, and stored correctly
- Report any equipment breakdowns daily
- Report building faults to line manager and supervisor
- Respond courteously to customer and management requests
- Maintain Health and Safety standards at all times
- Use all chemical and cleaning solutions correctly
- Report any dangers, near misses, or hazards encountered to your supervisor
Experience
No specific experience required, but a proactive and positive ‘can do’ attitude is essential.

- Live within a practical travelling distance of the region
- Suitable background for National Security Vetting and ability to achieve and maintain a Security Check (SC) in line with customer requirements
