Our Adult Social Care Division is looking for a passionate and dedicated Client Finance Team Manager to join our amazing service and help make a difference today! This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Charging Team within Southwark Council’s Personal Budgets and Client Finance Service. With a strong focus on financial assessments, the team plays a critical role in reviewing financial assessment forms, calculating client contributions, and ensuring residents receive fair and accurate decisions on their eligibility for council-funded care. As Client Finance Team Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing a team of seven Client Finance Caseworkers, overseeing the processing of new financial assessments and ensuring supporting evidence is collected, leading the review of historical cases to maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring assessments are completed fairly, efficiently, and in line with legislation and council policy, and contributing to Adult Social Care’s financial sustainability by ensuring accurate income collection.

Experience
Experience managing or supervising a finance or assessment-related team.

About you
We’re looking for someone with a strong understanding of financial assessment processes in Adult Social Care and the ability to lead and motivate a busy team. You’ll bring a clear understanding of personal budgets, charging policies, and relevant legislation, strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to fairness, quality service delivery, and continuous improvement.
