About the Role
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with highly skilled and knowledgeable consultants within a Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) setting. The postholder will encounter a wide range of pathology, providing a challenging and varied clinical experience. Dedicated time is allocated to pursue other professional activities such as quality improvement, clinical informatics, education and simulation, specialty clinics/theatre, and critical care experience to support professional development. The nature of these specialty activities is flexible and tailored to the needs of the postholder and service capacity, with this time incorporated into the working pattern. Homerton Healthcare is proud of its training opportunities and has an excellent record of supporting doctors in non-training posts to progress into training positions. Training opportunities aligned with the postholder’s specific interests will be arranged and supported. The role is embedded in a service where quality improvement and iterative change are actively encouraged and supported in real time.
Experience
Experience in acute care settings and ultrasound is desirable to support the varied clinical workload and specialty interests.

Qualifications
Full GMC registration with a license to practice is required. Relevant postgraduate qualifications or training in ultrasound and acute care are advantageous but not essential as training support will be provided.
