About the Role
The Royal National ENT & Eastman Dental Hospitals are housed in a modern purpose-built clinical facility opened in October 2019. Working closely with the Eastman Dental Institute, part of University College London, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to high quality patient care integrated with postgraduate training and research in oral healthcare. The Endodontic Department focuses on delivering specialist endodontic care while supporting training programmes in Restorative Dentistry and Endodontics. The successful candidate will work under the direction of consultants in the restorative division, primarily based in the Endodontic Department, and report directly to the Clinical Director.
Key responsibilities include providing courteous and efficient clinical service, delivering high quality specialist endodontic care, adhering to clinical protocols in line with local and national standards, and participating in the supervision of postgraduate trainees and specialty registrars. The post holder will engage in continuous professional development to maintain and update clinical skills.
Additional duties involve maintaining high standards of clinical note keeping, contributing to clinical audit and governance, assisting in service development and quality assurance, and complying with mandatory training requirements. The role also includes administrative responsibilities such as managing complaints, attending departmental meetings, and ensuring timely communication with patients and referrers.

Experience
Experience in specialist endodontic care and restorative dentistry is essential. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and supervise postgraduate trainees is required.

Qualifications
Qualified dentist with specialist training or equivalent experience in Endodontics and Restorative Dentistry. Registration with the appropriate professional body and compliance with mandatory training requirements are necessary.
