Description
The post holder will work across multiple organisations and footprints to formulate, implement and deliver clinical pathways within cancer care. They will deliver excellent professional genetics leadership across the cancer alliance and all the trusts within it including leading on the development of strategy, clinical practice and service redesign where required. Working closely with senior leadership of the South East London Cancer Alliance (SELCA), Guys & St Thomas Clinical Genetics Service as well as Kings College Hospital (KCH) and Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust (LGT). The primary aim of this role is to champion the national Lynch syndrome initiatives and embed end to end pathways for point of care testing. They will also be responsible for the day to day management of a sub-team of staff within this transformation project working across KCH and LGT. The post holder will contribute to the organisation and development of the key priority areas within the SELCA geography helping to deliver key strategic, business and national objectives and act as a significant educational resource, both to the wider health care system and clinicians accessing genomics. Contribution to the research and audit activities as well as actively delivering the mainstreaming agenda will also be expected. The post holder will be a role model for emotionally intelligent working and embrace and leverage the experience and expertise of peers and all stakeholders.
