Here at Peabody, we have an opportunity for a Commercial Assistant on a Permanent basis at our Westminster Bridge Road office. A bit about the role: As a Commercial Assistant, you will assist the Investment, Voids and Repairs & Maintenance Operations in the smooth delivery of a quality customer focused service. The successful applicant would have experience in applying scheduling rates and re-measurement of works. You will ensure that they are organised to work under pressure to carry our cost control tasks within our total Repairs IT system. Your primary focus will be to cost manage all works orders considering operative, supply chain and material costs (True Job Costing) whilst capturing all values associated to the order. You will be required to manage and maintain excellent quality standards or commercial completions ensuring all notes, certification and images are maintained as part of an application in line with Peabody’s requirements. Some of the key results for the role include: Reviewing orders and amending as required with SOR’s. Assist the Financial Completion of jobs within a defined Approval Cost Range. Carry out regular reviews of services and products supplied by Sub-Contractors and Material Suppliers to continue to give value for money. Work flexibly within the Commercial Team offering support to the wider Team and sufficient cover as required. Aid and assist in cost analysis and value for money programmes and assist the Quantity Surveyors in providing commercial expertise for projects 1 day working in our Westminster Bridge Road office and 1 day working in our Walthamstow office is required.
