Here at Peabody, we have an opportunity for a Communications Coordinator on a Fixed Term basis with Three Rivers Bexley.
A bit about the role:
Three Rivers, is a community arts programme for the London Borough of Bexley, hosted by Peabody, and supported by Arts Council England as a member of its national Creative People and Places network.
We are looking for a new Communications Coordinator to join our team and support us to tell our story, and the stories of the communities we work with, in exciting and accessible ways that encourage even more people to get involved!
As a Communications Coordinator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Three Rivers website and social media platforms, creating and commissioning digital and design content to reach and expand our audience, as well as writing regular newsletters and coordinating the production of our annual newspaper written by residents, The Bexley Responder.
Since 2021 Three Rivers has collaborated with local community centres, football clubs, foodbanks, and nature reserves to do all sorts of things, from producing festivals, to painting murals, making films, stitching quilts and publishing newspapers, and now we want to share what we’re up to even more effectively.
This is an exciting opportunity for a good communicator with a keen eye for detail, who is interested in arts and culture marketing and communications, to join our small creative team and work closely with our Executive Producer to develop content ideas and deliver creative campaigns that can connect with local audiences, as well as the wider arts sector.
Some of the key results for the role include:
Create content for social media that drives engagement; grows our network and subscribers list (newsletter and socials).
Manage our website and newsletter, ensuring all copy and images are relevant and up to date.
Coordinate the production and distribution of our annual community newspaper, The Bexley Responder.
Develop and deliver marketing campaigns for the programme including promoting opportunities such as open calls, public events, and creative workshops.
This role will require a minimum of 1 day per week working at The Nest, Cygnet Square, Thamesmead London SE2 9UH. Three Rivers has a flexible working policy, which includes: Working remotely / Working from our office space (currently in Thamesmead) one day a week / Working on-site in North Bexley.
