About the Role
Camden Council is seeking a Community Safety Enforcement Team Leader to lead a team of Community Safety Enforcement Officers delivering visible, community-focused enforcement activity across the borough. You will work closely with Community Safety Enforcement Managers to support on-street patrols, interventions, and enforcement activities addressing anti-social behaviour and environmental crime. This includes investigating cases, responding to complaints from residents and businesses, and using statutory enforcement powers such as issuing Fixed Penalty Notices and preparing prosecution files when necessary.

As a Team Leader, you will ensure cases are managed effectively, enforcement activity is proportionate, evidence-based, and aligned with current legislation. You will contribute to targeted campaigns and initiatives linked to Camden Community Safety Partnership priorities, including tackling anti-social behaviour, environmental crime, serious violence, and violence against women and girls.

Camden Council is committed to inclusion and operates an anonymised recruitment process to reduce unconscious bias. Flexible working options are available and open to discussion.

Requirements

Experience
Proven experience working with enforcement powers to address anti-social behaviour or environmental crime is essential. Experience leading a team in a fast-paced operational environment is highly desirable.

About you
You will be passionate about improving neighbourhood safety and have strong knowledge of relevant legislation with the ability to apply professional judgement to achieve fair and proportionate outcomes. You will be confident in supporting and guiding officers while maintaining high standards of case management and evidence gathering. Excellent communication skills are required to engage effectively with residents, businesses, elected members, and partner organisations.

You share Camden’s commitment to equality, partnership working, and continuous improvement, and are motivated to help deliver safer communities across the borough.

Qualifications
Relevant qualifications or training in community safety, enforcement, or related fields would be advantageous but are not explicitly stated as mandatory.
