Salary
Up to £60,000 per annum plus car allowance of £4,500 (depending on skills and experience).

About the Role
As a Construction Project Manager at Thames Water, you will be responsible for managing and delivering a portfolio of projects on Thames Water buildings, including structural lifecycle projects and facilities for staff welfare. These projects range from approximately £30,000 to £2 million and include a variety of building types such as Listed buildings and those of operational importance. You will independently scope and deliver projects from inception to completion, working closely with Operational Specialists to define requirements. Your responsibilities include managing the end-to-end tender process, contractor selection, evaluation and award, ensuring full CDM and health & safety compliance, acting as Client and overseeing Principal Designers and Contractors. You will review pre-construction documentation, coordinate contractor inductions, monitor project performance across health & safety, environmental, quality, programme and budget targets, and manage contractor performance and site issues. You will also forecast and report project expenditure, escalate risks as needed, and ensure compliance with company governance procedures.

Experience
- Strong construction or facilities management experience.
- Proven experience scoping construction projects from conception to contractor procurement.
- Previous experience managing contractors and auditing their performance, motivating teams to achieve high standards of compliance.
- Good project management, communication, and financial management skills.
- Sound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and legal regulations.

- Hold a full UK driving licence and have your own transport.

Qualifications
- HND/HNC/BEng/NVQ Level 4 in Construction Management, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or equivalent, or a strong background in Construction, Mechanical or Electrical disciplines.
