About the Role
We’re looking for a Water Operations Analyst to join our team, supporting the safe and effective operation of our clean water network. You’ll work closely with Systems Optimisation Engineers, Leakage teams and other colleagues across the business, helping us maintain reliable water supplies, manage pressure and respond effectively when unexpected network issues arise.
Your key responsibilities will include investigating pressure issues, customer complaints and network alarms, using data to understand problems and identify solutions. You will support planned network isolations and optimisation projects, assist during unplanned and emergency events to minimise disruption to customers, and help investigate longer-term network issues such as low pressure, low flows, resilience and network integrity. Ensuring all network activities follow the correct operational and risk-management procedures will be essential.
This role offers the opportunity to develop your career in the water industry while making a real difference to millions of customers every day.
Experience
A degree in a technical discipline such as engineering or science is advantageous, or equivalent practical experience. Experience or interest in hydraulic systems, water networks and clean water operations is highly valued.
About you
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret operational and performance data. Good communication skills and confidence working with a wide range of stakeholders. A proactive approach and genuine willingness to learn and develop a long-term career in the water industry. A full UK driving licence and access to transport would be helpful but not essential, as some travel across the Thames Water area may be required.
Qualifications
Relevant technical qualifications or equivalent practical experience are preferred but not mandatory. A positive attitude and eagerness to learn are essential.
