Applications are invited for the post of Consultant in Anaesthesia at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH).10 Programmed Activities will be offered 8.5 Direct Clinical Care and 1.5 Supporting Professional Activities.The specific job plan will be developed in partnership between the needs of the department and the successful applicant. It is expected that the initial job plan will be reviewed after 6 months of service. Initial job plan will include sessions within all major units at the RNOH including theperipheral nerve injury unit, sarcoma unit, joint replacement unit, spinal unit, shoulder unit, foot & ankle unit and the preoperative assessment department. Candidates must be able to demonstrate clinical experience at either fellowship or consultant level for anaesthesia for complex orthopaedic and spinal surgery.Job plans may be changed to accommodate where possible the specific requests of the candidate and the needs of the department.Currently the Trust permits flexibility in time and space to accommodate SPAs.
